Q. - What is 'Alexia-AMP /AVA' ?

A. - 'Alexia-AMP /AVA' is a name given to an entity that exists and is entirely volunteer-run - to provide services, that allow such things as the charity-organisation's printed magazine to be designed and subsequently published.   When each edition has been completed and then finally printed, it is then to be circulated for all of the organisation's supporters.   For example - 'Alexia Visual Artists' is currently the provider of all of the arts, illustrations, photography, etc. that appear in each issue - hence 'AVA' being included as an extension to the entity's name.

       Also - the given name 'Alexia' is also actually an acronym - which was also an alternative name given to the charity-organisation as a whole, now well over 10 years ago.       From memory,  it actually means:   "Art, Learning, Education for Kids, Students, Infants & Young Adults".

       Behind the scenes, while 'Alexia Visual Artists' already existed, the 'Alexia-AMP' name was first suggested about 5 years ago - I think it would have been in about 2018, resulting in numerous "rough" notes about what it actually is / or potentially could be - and then being put up for discussion.  It was fun putting our heads together, with all of these ideas floating around within them !

       At the time, we had no real idea how valuable or important something like that could be - and then came the 'Covid-19' Pandemic !....

       The name 'Alexia-AMP' also means:  "Arts, Music and Publishing", but we are hoping that soon we can follow another dream and ambition for it to also mean:  "Arts, Music and Performing" !
